The City of Flowery Branch was incorporated January 1, 1874. The current population, at time of post, is 5,679. Total Area is 10.0 square miles. Flowery Branch, about 50 miles northeast of Atlanta, is probably best known as the site of the Atlanta Falcons training camp. Flowery Branch was established as a city in 1874, a year after the Southern Railway System laid its tracks from Charlotte to Atlanta. The city is just off I-985 in Hall County on the shores of Lake Lanier. Just minutes from booming Buford, laid-back Flowery Branch still feels semi-rural.
